Mins Aliyana Teo
NCPT, RYT200, GYROTONIC®-certified
Mins came to Pilates through her own body's breakdown. Years of ballet and contemporary dance left her with lower back injuries that no amount of pushing through could fix. What began as rehabilitation became a decade-long inquiry into how the body heals, adapts, and thrives.
That curiosity took her to a BSc in Biomedical Science across Singapore’s NUS and Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, a year living in Thailand practising Vipassana Meditation with Thai monks, a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh, to Cologne to study osteopathic applications of Pilates with Polestar Pilates Europe.
She then went on to Taipei to sit in on Feldenkrais teacher training sessions — observing how neuroplasticity and conscious movement can quietly rewire ingrained patterns. Her Gyrotonic training came under Anke Hauerstein in Berlin — one of the method's Master Trainers, who trained directly under its founder Juliu Horvath. It's a lineage of learning close to the source, shaping the precision and insight that she brings to every session.
Over ten years she has taught across physiotherapy clinics, boutique studios, and leading wellness destinations — COMO Parrot Cay in Turks and Caicos, Patina Maldives at Fari Islands, and currently as resident Pilates and Wellness Teacher at COMO Shambhala Estate, Bali. The thread across all of it: meeting each person in their actual body, not a textbook version of it.
Her work has increasingly drawn her toward women navigating hormonal shifts — perimenopause, cycle awareness, the moment when what used to work suddenly doesn't. Movement, breathwork, TRE, and Precision Nutrition coaching, woven together around what each person actually needs.
She works in-person at COMO Shambhala Estate and with a small number of online clients worldwide.
